    CalOSBA Announces 4 Additional Rounds of California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program

    The California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) announced that on February 23rd, the Governor signed into law a comprehensive package providing urgent relief for the small businesses of CA. The package provides an additional $2 billion for grants up to $25,000 for small businesses impacted by the pandemic, and allocates $50 million of this total for non-profit cultural institutions.

    California Competes Tax Credit Applications Open on March 8th!

     The next California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) application period starts March 8, 2021, with $71.1 million in available tax credits. Businesses interested in applying can register to view a live webinar explaining the application process.

    Work Opportunity Tax Credit Extended Through 2025

    The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is an incentive for employers to broaden their job applicant pools and hire from certain groups of people who may need assistance finding jobs. This tax credit has been reauthorized and extended through the end of 2025.

    United States Economic Development Association (EDA) are Now Accepting Applications for Build to Scale Program

    EDA is accepting applications for the Build to Scale Program, a $38 million funding opportunity that fuels tech-based economic development in regional economies. Cities, counties, and entities supported by a state or a subdivision of a state, including public-private partnerships and economic development organizations, are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is April 29, 2021.
